About Ben Galley

My photo
Here is a person who still thinks dragons are just hiding. He won't tell you where, because that's a secret, but he will tell you about them in great detail. And it's not just dragons either. The persistent imagination of Ben Galley is a little worrying at the best of times, running around the page like an excited child who's been given too many ice creams. He has learnt a lot about elves, dragons, unicorns, aliens, ghosts, gryphons, and magic in the last few years, and now he's going to write about them...

Sniplets and Snatchets...

As promised, I've wrenched a few bits out of the book and here they are! For all to see, displayed amongst the Smörgåsbord of stuff that is the internet! Enough rambling from me now READ!

“…when the sons of gods went to the daughters of Men and had children by their wombs, and they became like the giants of old, “men“ of renown and infamy…”

from the ‘Gathered Prophetics’ of Járn Byrjun

“The rumours of a fierce ravenous vampyre in our forest are completely ridiculous! Why would such a beast settle in our quiet countryside, and hunt such kind people? These goings-on are just plain and simple accidents, nasty trips and falls, or a rogue wild dog!

“Pardon me? No, I don’t know anything about the bite-marks. Now if you’ll excuse me...”

The Duke of Leath speaking to the townspeople after alleged “vampyre sightings” some years ago

“It was not that the Arka council was born from a need to bring order to Krauslung and the Mountains, but more out of a strong desire to see order and direction as a proud people. Originally the factions of the magickal Arka appointed their peers to stand as one an see to the progression of our great civilisation.

“It was at this time that the Scribe came to us, and a great and powerful wing of the magick council came to exist, to watch over the dark forces left behind by the Elves. The peers were now under a great duty, to see the powers of good exercised in the wild lands of Emaneska. This was of course, before the greed of the rich sought to pervert the authority of the two thrones, when one by one the members of the council turned their minds from justice and good, and wanted for gold and power instead.”

Arkmage Olfar, writing in the year 789

Beware otters... their teeth can bite through razor blades, but that's just from me. With the usual amount of love and good wishes....
